Standing Together has a new and exciting project in Gush Etzion. The soldiers who are on duty, guarding the bus stops and communities in the area, get a few minutes break here and there. Standing Together and English Cake Bakery in Tzomet HaGush have partnered to make this break more pleasant and let our soldiers know we appreciate them. The first 50 soldiers to come into the bakery each day will get a free cup of coffee and cake, sponsored by Standing Together and subsidized by English Cake. Those soldiers will get the message loud and clear that we appreciate them and want to say thank you in a real and tangible way.
The soldiers in Gush Etzion are the ones we are depending on to protect our children at the bus stops that have been targeted by terrorists in recent months. These soldiers are the ones protecting large Jewish Communities and learning centers like Alon Shevut, Efrat, Migdal Oz, Neve Daniel and Elazar. Tzomet HaGush itself has been the location of many attempted terrorist attacks and these are the soldiers who have thwarted those attacks. Our people owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to these soldiers and we are excited to announce this new way to offer that gratitude to the soldiers.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for this and all of our other programs. Please visit our facebook page and twitter account regularly for updates. Standing Together hopes to be able to expand this and other projects in the near future to reach even more soldiers on a daily basis.
