This year, Standing Together volunteers served up a bbq for about 1600 people. At 9 different army bases around the country, more than 70 families gave something back to the people who protect our country all day and night. Standing Together, with the help of generous donors around the world, provided meat, the army provided salads and the volunteers provided the rest, making the soldiers feel surrounded by family even when they couldn’t go home for the holiday.
