This Chanukah, Standing Together was as busy as ever, showing our soldiers appreciation on behalf of people all over the world. This year our activities were mostly in the evening , allowing us the special opportunity to light candles with our brave soldiers.
Standing Together volunteers visited an army base in Karmei Tzur, soldiers protect the road to Hebron. The soldiers we visited there explained to us that they have been dealing with stone throwing on the roads recently.
Other evenings our volunteers visited bases surrounding Jerusalem and in the Gush Etzion area. These soldiers were thrilled to see our Hospitality trailer and our volunteers bringing them Sufganiyot (filled donuts) and lots of holiday excitement. As usual, we are not sure who enjoyed the evenings more, the volunteers or the soldiers.
