Inspired by Standing Together

In the Spring of 2009, my son donated his Bar Mitzvah money to Standing Together and on April 6th, 2009, right before Pesach, we held a barbecue on a base. I wish that your website went back one year earlier to 2009 so that one could see the photos of that memorable event. My father, who passed away a year later, said to those young chayalim that seeing Jewish soldiers defend a Jewish land was the highlight of his life. Prior to having the barbecue, my son and I accompanied you a couple of evenings to hand out pizza to chayalim.

Now, my son will become one of those chayalim! That 13 year old boy will be drafting to the IDF now as a Chayal Boded. Following his graduation from university, he made Aliyah with Garin Tzabar and lives on Kibbutz. He is hoping to excel in the army but for now needs to improve his Hebrew. I wanted to share this with you and to tell you that in his honor I am making a donation!
